Senator Sonny Angara has firmly rejected recent allegations linking him and his office to irregular government projects.

“We reject any insinuation made today that we were involved in anomalous projects. In my 21 years in government we have never been involved in corruption,” Angara said in a statement.

The senator’s remarks come amid claims that certain flood-control projects may have involved irregularities. Angara emphasized that these accusations are baseless and highlighted his long track record of integrity in public service.

Under his watch, government departments, including the Department of Education, have prioritized transparency and strict compliance with procurement laws. Angara has previously acted against corruption, including filing civil and criminal charges against private schools for financial anomalies under government programs.

While critics have raised concerns over delayed infrastructure projects, Angara insists he and his team have always upheld accountability and will continue cooperating fully with ongoing investigations.
