The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said it is fully cooperating with an ongoing investigation by the Office of the Ombudsman, confirming that it will immediately turn over key documents and digital records linked to the late former Undersecretary Maria Catalina Cabral.

In a statement, the DPWH said it is complying with a Subpoena Duces Tecum, which requires the release of evidence relevant to the probe. The department will surrender all data storage devices from Cabral’s office and authorize their submission to the Philippine National Police–Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP-ACG) for forensic examination.

Aside from digital materials, the DPWH said it will also provide all documents, records, and files under Cabral’s office that may be needed by investigators.

The department stressed that it remains committed to transparency and accountability, adding that it will continue to work closely with investigating bodies and extend any further assistance required as the inquiry moves forward.

The development comes amid heightened scrutiny over government infrastructure projects, with authorities signaling a tougher stance on accountability and document-backed investigations across agencies.
