The League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) is shaking things up for 2026 with the addition of Ground Zero Gaming (GZ) as a new Guest team—and fans already have plenty to look forward to.
The league officially announced that GZ will join the LCP when the new season kicks off on January 16, 2026, bringing fresh energy and another strong regional presence to the competition.
According to the league, the selection process followed the same standards used during its initial team lineup. Organizers looked closely at which organization best reflects the values of the sport and the Pacific region, while also showing long-term operational stability. Competitive strength and regional balance were also key factors, ensuring the league remains both diverse and exciting for fans.
After reviewing several proposals, the LCP determined that Ground Zero Gaming stood out as the best overall fit.
GZ will represent the Pacific Championship Series (PCS) as its home region. In line with LCP roster rules, the team will be required to field players from the PCS region. This regional designation will also apply to any future LCP Promotion Series Guest slot contention.
With Ground Zero Gaming joining the lineup, the LCP is set to enter the 2026 season with renewed momentum and a broader competitive landscape—giving fans even more reasons to tune in when the action returns early next year. 馃幃馃敟
