Uswag Ilonggo Party-list Rep. James Ang Jr. is standing his ground, saying he is ready to answer allegations against him and confident that the truth will clear his name.

In an official statement released on November 26, Ang assured his constituents that he has nothing to hide. “My conscience is clear. I am confident that I will be able to clear my name soon. My resolve for truth to come out is stronger and clearer,” he said.

Ang stressed that throughout his three years in public service, he never used his position for personal gain, emphasizing the trust placed in him by the Ilonggo community. “In my three years in public service, I have never used my position in the government for my own interest and to profit in any way. I hold the trust of the Ilonggos strongly, and will never betray the faith of my kasimanwas in me as their representative in Uswag Ilonggo Party-list since 2022,” he added.

The lawmaker said he remains firm in standing for what is “true and just,” adding that he is prepared to face any investigation. “I stand firm on what is true and just. I am ready to face this case in the proper forum,” Ang declared.

Despite the controversy, Ang projects confidence that the process will ultimately vindicate him, reassuring supporters that he remains committed to serving Ilonggos.
