Actress Kim Chiu has officially filed a qualified theft complaint against her sister, Lakambini Chiu, after uncovering what she described as major financial issues involving their shared business.

In her statement, Kim explained that the decision to pursue legal action came only after discovering that “substantial amounts connected to my business assets were found missing.” She added that the move was not made lightly, especially given that the matter involves family.

Kim’s legal counsel also confirmed that several efforts were made to resolve the issue privately. According to them, there were multiple attempts and meetings aimed at settling the problem internally before the actress decided to take the case to authorities.
