The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) conducted an inspection of condominium units reportedly owned by former Ako Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co in Bonifacio Global City on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
The operation, carried out under a court-issued inspection order, was deputized by the Philippine Competition Commission and aimed to secure and document files that may be relevant to ongoing investigations into alleged bid-rigging in flood-control projects.
The inspection was led by the NBI’s Organized and Transnational Crime Division. Lawyers representing Zaldy Co were reportedly present during the process to witness the procedure.
Officials said the agency collected and documented materials that could serve as evidence in the investigation. While the media reports confirm the inspection, the exact number of units inspected, their size, and the duration of the court order were not publicly disclosed.
The inspection concluded in the afternoon, marking a significant step in the probe into Co’s alleged involvement in irregularities linked to flood-control contracts. The findings may contribute to potential administrative or criminal charges if evidence of wrongdoing is confirmed.
