Oil Firms Announce Another Round Of Fuel Price Increases Starting Tuesday
FILE
Motorists and businesses should brace for higher fuel costs this week, as oil companies announced another round of price hikes set to take effect on Tuesday, July 22.

In separate advisories, Seaoil and Shell Pilipinas said they will raise pump prices starting at 6:00 a.m. Gasoline will go up by ₱0.40 per liter, diesel by ₱1.10 per liter, and kerosene by ₱0.70 per liter.

PTT Philippines will implement similar adjustments, with a ₱0.40 per liter increase for gasoline and a steeper ₱1.30 per liter hike for diesel. Caltex, meanwhile, announced slightly lower adjustments: ₱0.20 per liter for gasoline, ₱0.75 per liter for diesel, and ₱0.50 per liter for kerosene, effective at 6:01 a.m.

This marks the second consecutive week of price increases across all major fuel products. Industry watchers attribute the continued upticks to movements in the global oil market, including the impact of U.S. tariff policies and stronger international energy demand.

Energy authorities have already cautioned the public to expect more price adjustments in the coming weeks, as global supply and demand dynamics remain volatile.

Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly and keep an eye on weekly advisories from oil firms and government agencies.
