Paranaque Vice Mayor Sets Record Straight On Viral Jaguar Issue
FILE
Parañaque City’s Vice Mayor Benjo Bernabe has spoken up to clarify claims linking him to a luxury car allegedly given to Francis Leo Marcos—an issue that has recently stirred talk online.
In an official statement, Bernabe addressed the circulating claim head-on, saying there is no truth to the allegation that he gifted Marcos a Jaguar vehicle.
According to Bernabe, the car in question was not given, but purchased through a legitimate and complete transaction back in 2016. To reinforce his point, the Vice Mayor shared a copy of the Deed of Sale, showing that the vehicle was formally sold and transferred that year.
He emphasized that he had no personal connection with Marcos, saying the only link between them was this transaction from almost a decade ago.
Bernabe also reiterated that he is not associated with Marcos in any way beyond that old sale:
The Vice Mayor said he decided to speak publicly to ensure that the correct information reaches the public:
The attached Deed of Sale shows the details of the 2016 vehicle purchase, including signatures, notary acknowledgment, and the vehicle’s description—a Jaguar X-Type sedan.
The Vice Mayor hopes the statement ends any misinformation surrounding the matter.
