In a move to boost bilateral cooperation, newly appointed Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go and Austrian Ambassador Johann Brieger formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Financial Cooperation on November 20, 2025.
The agreement sets a framework for closer collaboration in key sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture, education, and disaster resilience, while expanding the Philippines’ access to concessional and blended financing from Austria to support priority government programs and projects.
Secretary Go was joined by DOF International Finance Group (IFG) Undersecretary Joven Z. Balbosa and Assistant Secretary Donalyn U. Minimo during the signing ceremony.
This partnership underscores the Philippines’ commitment to strengthening international financial ties while ensuring support for critical national development projects.
