The Philippine Stock Exchange Index (PSEi) closed slightly lower on December 16, 2025, ending the day at 6,055.68, down 2.34 points or 0.04 percent.

Trading value reached PHP 7.6 billion, with 81 stocks advancing, 101 declining, and 57 unchanged, reflecting a cautious market mood.

Foreign investors were net sellers, offloading a total of PHP 4.07 billion while buying PHP 3.67 billion, resulting in a net foreign selling of PHP 399.9 million.

The modest decline comes amid continued uncertainty in global and local markets, with investors weighing earnings reports, economic data, and foreign flows.

Despite the slight dip, market analysts note that the PSEi remains near the 6,000-point level, indicating that the broader market trend is still relatively stable.
