San Miguel Beer is on fire — and they’re not slowing down anytime soon.

On a four-game roll, the Beermen turned up the heat even more and unleashed a 158-117 demolition job against Titan Ultra in the PBA Season 50 Philippine Cup on Wednesday night at the Ynares Center in Montalban.

It was pure dominance from start to finish — the most lopsided win of the conference so far — as CJ Perez and Jericho Cruz led a total of nine Beermen who scored in double figures.

With the victory, San Miguel zoomed to joint second place (5-2) alongside NLEX and Rain or Shine, just half a game behind league leader TNT Tropang 5G (5-1).

And this win wasn’t just big — it was historic. The Beermen’s latest triumph extended their streak to five straight wins, the longest in the tournament after starting the season with two straight losses.

A Red-Hot Start

San Miguel came out blazing with a 12-0 opening run, quickly turning the game into a highlight reel. By halftime, the scoreboard read an almost unbelievable 79-38, leaving Titan Ultra dazed and confused.

Perez dropped 26 points built on hot shooting — 3-of-4 from deep and 2-of-4 from midrange — while Cruz exploded for 24 points on an ultra-efficient 8-of-9 shooting and a perfect 8-of-8 from the line.

Not to be outdone, June Mar Fajardo quietly logged a triple-double — 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists — in just 26 minutes of play. The Kraken didn’t need to dominate the scoring to make his presence felt.

Bench Mob on Fire

Even the Beermen’s second unit refused to take their foot off the gas.
Don Trollano came off the bench sizzling with 20 points, while Jeron Teng (15), Andreas Cahilig (11), Mo Tautuaa (10), and Kris Rosales (10) all joined the double-digit club.

By the end of the night, San Miguel shot a blistering 53.1 percent from the field compared to Titan Ultra’s 38.7 percent — a testament to their offensive rhythm and teamwork.

Meanwhile, Von Pessumal and Joshua Munzon tried to carry Titan Ultra with 21 and 20 points, respectively, but it was nowhere near enough to stop the Beermen’s onslaught. Titan fell to 2-5 in the standings.
