UP Pushes Reform, Stands With Filipinos On Bonifacio Day

The University of the Philippines (UP) is renewing its call for transparency, accountability, and justice as it joins Filipinos participating in lawful anti-corruption mobilizations on Bonifacio Day, November 30.
In a statement, UP said it is not just supporting national efforts—it is also working on its own internal reforms. The university is currently enhancing its quality management and assurance systems, aiming to improve how it handles public infrastructure projects, strengthen accountability, and boost institutional capacity.
UP encouraged open and healthy discussions within the community as part of its commitment to good governance. “This is our moment to advance genuine reforms,” the university said.
UP also expressed full support for the community’s constitutionally protected rights to free expression, peaceful assembly, and association. It likewise urged law enforcement authorities to respect and uphold these rights.
The message is clear: systemic transformation is urgent, and UP says the collective fight for a just and honest society cannot wait.
