3 Doors Down's Brad Arnold Dead At 47

The rock world is in shock and mourning the loss of Brad Arnold, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the age of 47. Arnold had been battling stage 4 kidney cancer that had spread to his lungs.

Arnold’s voice defined a generation of rock fans, from the breakout hit “Kryptonite” to emotional ballads like “Here Without You” and “When I’m Gone.” He rose to fame in the early 2000s as the voice behind songs that became anthems for millions.

In May 2025, Arnold revealed his cancer diagnosis but remained open and hopeful with fans, leaning on his faith and the support of loved ones as he underwent treatment. The illness had forced the band to cancel tour dates, but he continued to inspire fans with his courage.

"It’s never goodbye. It’s just till next time. Please be good to each other, love one another, be kind to one another, and celebrate the legend, Mr. Brad Arnold, today and every day. I love you, Brad."
