3 Vloggers Face NBI Subpoena Over Fake Health Claims On Marcos

The Presidential Communications Office confirmed Monday that the National Bureau of Investigation has issued subpoenas against three vloggers accused of spreading false information about the health of Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr..

According to Palace Press Officer Claire Castro, documents submitted by the PCO have already been forwarded to the NBI to kick off a deeper investigation into the alleged fake news posts.

Castro said the move includes subpoenas to ensure a proper probe into the vloggers’ claims, which the Palace insists are baseless and misleading.

The issue traces back to April 15, when the PCO, through its Anti-Fake News Desk, endorsed three Facebook accounts to the Department of Justice for possible legal action.

The accounts were identified as “Crage Anderpal,” “Rigondola Ping,” and “Iloy Bugris The Queen of Revelations.”

Based on the complaint, one of the vloggers allegedly went live claiming the President was in critical condition. Another reportedly shared edited photos suggesting he was seriously ill, while a third account circulated fake news graphics falsely claiming there was official confirmation about his supposed condition.

Malacañang, through the PCO, reiterated its stance against disinformation, warning that those who spread fake news—especially about the President—will be held accountable.
