A recent nationwide survey suggests that a majority of Filipinos support the ongoing impeachment trial involving Vice President Sara Duterte, reflecting both high public awareness and strong interest in the case.

Based on the Tugon ng Masa survey conducted by OCTA Research Group, around 69% of respondents said they believe the Vice President should face the impeachment trial and respond to the allegations against her. Meanwhile, 28% disagreed with the idea.

What stands out even more is the level of awareness: 87% of Filipinos said they are aware of the impeachment case. Awareness was highest in Mindanao at 91%, followed by the Visayas at 88%.

OCTA noted that the findings suggest a broad public understanding of the issue, along with varying opinions on how due process should be carried out in a politically sensitive case.

The survey was conducted from March 19 to 25 through face-to-face interviews with 1,200 adult respondents across the country.

Overall, the results paint a picture of a highly engaged public—one that is closely watching the impeachment proceedings and forming strong views as the case develops.
