9 Hurt In Massive Taft-Pedro Gil Bus Crash

A traffic accident unfolded along Taft Avenue near Pedro Gil on Wednesday when a bus reportedly lost control, colliding with five motorcycles, three MPVs, and a van, leaving nine people injured, according to preliminary reports.
The Manila City DRRM Office Medical Response Team and Operations Team, with support from the Bureau of Fire Protection–EMS, rushed to the scene to attend to the victims and manage the situation.
Authorities are still assessing the full extent of injuries and investigating what caused the bus to veer out of control. Traffic in the area was reportedly heavily affected, with authorities directing vehicles to alternate routes to ease congestion.
Officials continue to urge motorists to exercise caution and follow traffic rules, especially along busy routes like Taft Avenue, which sees heavy daily commuter traffic.
No fatalities have been reported so far. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for immediate medical attention. Emergency teams are also coordinating with traffic enforcers to prevent secondary accidents while clearing the scene.
