The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has turned over ₱5.7 billion to the Bureau of the Treasury, reinforcing its role in converting former military lands into revenue that supports national programs and economic growth.

The ceremonial remittance, witnessed by the Department of Finance (DOF), includes ₱2.6 billion in dividends and ₱3.1 billion allocated to the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Modernization Program and other beneficiaries.

The contribution highlights BCDA’s continuing effort to transform idle or former military properties into productive economic hubs. Key developments under its portfolio—such as Clark Freeport Zone, New Clark City, and Camp John Hay—have evolved into major centers for investment, business activity, and employment.

Officials said these developments are now playing a crucial role in regional growth, attracting both local and foreign investors while creating new livelihood opportunities.

From 2024 up to the first quarter of 2026, BCDA reported securing over ₱104.51 billion in investments, generating around 15,770 jobs across various high-impact industries.

With sustained investments and strategic land development, BCDA is expected to continue contributing to government revenues while supporting infrastructure, defense modernization, and job creation nationwide.
