P-pop sensation BINI has officially taken on a new role beyond the music stage after being named the Philippines' newest tourism ambassadors by the Department of Tourism.

The announcement came on Friday as the eight-member girl group paid a courtesy visit to Tourism Secretary Dita Angara-Mathay at the Department of Tourism's central office in Makati City.

The appointment marks a major partnership between the country's tourism agency and one of the Philippines' biggest music acts, with BINI expected to help promote local destinations, culture, and tourism experiences to both domestic and international audiences.

Known for their growing global fanbase and chart-topping hits, the group has become one of the leading faces of Filipino pop culture. Their influence, particularly among younger audiences, is expected to strengthen the Department of Tourism's efforts to showcase the Philippines as a world-class travel destination.

The courtesy call also served as an opportunity for Tourism officials and the group to discuss their upcoming collaboration, with more tourism campaigns and promotional activities expected to be announced in the coming months.

By tapping BINI as tourism ambassadors, the Department of Tourism aims to leverage the group's popularity and international reach to encourage more travelers to discover the country's diverse attractions, rich heritage, and vibrant local communities.
