MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has rolled out a new service aimed at streamlining tax processes for registered businesses. On Tuesday, January 27, the agency officially launched the Registered Business Enterprise Taxpayer Service (RBETS).

The initiative is part of the BIR’s DARES reform agenda, signaling the government’s commitment to faster, more reliable, and responsive tax administration.

“This reform reflects our commitment to transforming policy into tangible public service. While RBETS begins today with trained personnel and dedicated lanes, it will evolve into a comprehensive, seamless experience as our broader reforms take root and mature,” said BIR Commissioner Charlie Mendoza.

RBETS is designed to make tax transactions smoother, giving registered business enterprises a more efficient and straightforward way to comply with requirements — a welcome upgrade for many entrepreneurs navigating the bureaucracy.

As BIR continues to modernize its services, officials say RBETS is just the first step in a broader push to make tax administration more accessible and business-friendly across the country.
