Bloc 11 Demands Cayetano Exit

The Senate’s Minority Bloc, now referring to itself as “Solid Bloc 11,” has called for the resignation of Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano after the chamber failed to hold a session for a second straight day.
The group criticized the continued suspension of Senate proceedings, arguing that the upper chamber cannot afford to remain inactive while important national issues await action.
The call for Cayetano’s resignation comes amid growing tensions within the Senate over leadership and the handling of legislative business. Members of Solid Bloc 11 contend that the failure to convene the Senate reflects a breakdown in leadership and accountability at the highest level of the institution.
