BOC Sets 3 Year Validity For Exporter Registration To Streamline Trade

The Bureau of Customs is rolling out a new policy that gives exporters a three-year validity period for their registration in the Client Profile Registration System, aiming to make trade processes smoother and more reliable.
In a memorandum dated April 24, 2026, Customs Commissioner Ariel F. Nepomuceno ordered system upgrades so the CPRS will reflect the new three-year validity rule. The move aligns exporter registration with the same validity period already applied to importers.
Under the updated policy, exporters can stay registered for three years from the date of approval, unless their registration is suspended, cancelled, or deactivated earlier under existing rules.
Nepomuceno said the change is meant to keep exporter records accurate and up to date, while also helping speed up export processing. He stressed that having a clear validity period will improve the quality of data in the system and ensure it reflects active and legitimate exporters.
District Collectors across the country have also been instructed to strictly implement the policy, including checking and updating exporter records when needed.
With the change, the BOC says it is continuing efforts to modernize its systems—balancing faster trade facilitation with stronger accountability in export operations.
