Cavite, Philippines — A major milestone has been reached in the construction of the Cavite–Laguna Expressway (CALAX) as the Kawit section of the expressway is now connected to CAVITEX near the former Zeus Gas Station in Kawit, Cavite.

CALAX, which will stretch from Kawit, Cavite to Biñan, Laguna, is set to transform travel for thousands of motorists in Southern Luzon. With much of the expressway now nearly complete, full operation is drawing closer.

Project officials report that the entire CALAX is targeted for completion in the first half of 2026. Work continues on the remaining sections and interchanges to ensure safe and smooth traffic flow once the expressway is fully operational.

Once complete, travel time from Kawit to Biñan is expected to drop by 30 to 40 minutes—a welcome relief for daily commuters, business travelers, and logistics operators.

Beyond faster travel, CALAX is also expected to ease congestion on major roads, boost trade and tourism, and open new opportunities for cities and towns across Cavite and Laguna.

For many motorists, the connection between CALAX and CAVITEX is a clear signal of more convenient, faster, and more connected travel in the months ahead.
