CAVITE CITY — Cavite City officially marked a major milestone in education on Tuesday, January 27, with the opening and blessing of the new Cavite City National Science High School located along Martinez Street, Barangay 31.

Led by Mayor Denver Chua, Vice Mayor Raleigh Grepo Rusit, members of the #TeamUnlad council, and officials from the Department of Education, the ceremony celebrated the realization of a long-standing vision to provide Caviteño students with access to high-quality science education.

The newly opened campus is equipped with modern facilities designed to support advanced learning in science and technology. These include anatomy and chemistry laboratories, as well as a fully equipped computer laboratory, giving students hands-on opportunities to develop their skills, creativity, and scientific potential within the city.

Local officials highlighted that the science high school is expected to nurture young talents and help prepare students for future careers in science, technology, engineering, and related fields, while also strengthening Cavite City’s public education system.

City leaders also expressed their appreciation to the Department of Education, under the leadership of DepEd Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara, along with Regional Director Atty. Alberto T. Escobarte, Assistant Regional Director Loida N. Nidea, and School Head Ma. Carmela L. Salonga, for their continued support and dedication in turning the project into reality.

The opening of the Cavite City National Science High School reflects the city’s commitment to investing in education and providing its youth with the tools they need to excel in a science-driven future.
