Vlogger Jeffrey Luces Celiz also known as Ka Eric Celiz has already posted bail in connection with the cybercrime case pending before the Regional Trial Court in Pasay City, according to his legal counsel.

Atty. Mark Tolentino said Celiz paid the ₱36,000 bail after the court approved and accepted the bond in the case for unlawful publication in relation to cybercrime, which is being heard by RTC Branch 119.

The complaint was filed by the National Bureau of Investigation over an alleged publication involving the health condition of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Tolentino said.

With the bail bond now approved, Tolentino argued that Celiz is considered under the custody of the law and that there is no legal basis for his arrest in the same case as long as the bail remains valid.

“The posting of bail secures his provisional liberty,” Tolentino said, adding that Celiz will continue to comply with court processes and any conditions set by the court.

He also said their camp remains committed to the rule of law, as well as the presumption of innocence and the right to due process.

The development came after a court document showed that an arrest warrant had been issued in the case, with bail set at ₱36,000. But based on Tolentino’s statement, Celiz has already posted the required bail, placing the matter now firmly under court supervision as proceedings continue.

Further developments are expected to be addressed through the proper legal channels.
