Claudine Barreto Shares Heartfelt Goodbye To Mom: 'We Choose Peace Over Everything'

Claudine Barreto opened up on social media with an emotional tribute to her late mother, expressing gratitude to her siblings and extended family for coming together during a difficult time.
“To my brother and all my sisters, thank you,” Claudine wrote. “Even if we may have our differences, in grief, we are united. We all did our part—JJ, Michie, Gia, G, Marjorie, and all the grandchildren, even the great-grandchildren. Mommy was cared for equally by all of us.”
She emphasized that in honoring their mother, the family chose love and peace over material gestures. “We don’t need flowers. Your prayers mean the world to each and every one of us,” Claudine added.
Ending her message on a note of strength, she said, “Goodbye, Mom. We will be okay. How can we not be? We are Inday Barreto’s children—the strongest, most loving mother anyone could ask for.”
Estrella “Inday” Castelo Barretto, the matriarch who inspired this heartfelt tribute, passed away at the age of 89 on January 29, 2026. Her legacy of love, care, and unity continues to resonate with her family and all who knew her.
