Actresses Michelle Dee and Rhian Ramos have spoken out against allegations they insist are completely unfounded.

The two actresses, through their legal team, have formally denied claims of illegal detention reportedly filed by their former driver with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

Lawyer Maggie Abraham-Garduque, representing Dee and Ramos, clarified in a statement that, as of now, the actresses have not even been officially served with the complaint. Nevertheless, she stressed that no act of illegal detention ever took place.

The driver, identified as Mr. Baro, was not being held against his will. In fact, he lived in the same condominium complex as the stars as part of his employment with Rhian Ramos. “This context alone makes the allegations baseless,” the statement read.

The situation, however, appears to be more complicated. Before this alleged complaint, Dee had already filed a qualified theft case against the same driver. According to the legal team, the driver admitted to taking some of Dee’s personal belongings and has returned part of what was missing.

Because of this sequence of events, Dee and Ramos’ camp believes the detention complaint is retaliatory—an attempt to gain leverage over the theft case rather than a legitimate accusation. The legal team described it as a vindictive maneuver.

The issue came to public attention after the driver spoke to media outlets about his claims. In response, Dee and Ramos released a statement to set the record straight and protect their reputations.

For now, both actresses stand by their side of the story, ready to respond officially once the formal documents are served. If the case moves forward, it seems likely to play out in court, where timelines, evidence, and official records will ultimately decide the outcome—not media headlines.
