DILG Confirms BJMP Takes Custody Of 4 Individuals Linked To Bulacan Flood Control Case

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has confirmed that the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) has taken custody of four individuals connected to the Bulacan flood control anomaly.
In a statement released on January 20, 2026, the DILG said the BJMP received the following Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at 5:35 PM:
• Brice Ericson Diaz Hernandez
• Jaypee De Leon Mendoza
• Arjay Salvador Domasig
• Juanito Coronel Mendoza
Their detention was carried out under a Commitment Order issued by the Sandiganbayan Third Division, related to a case involving malversation of public funds through falsification of public documents.
The DILG also assured the public that the individuals are currently undergoing standard booking and processing procedures and are being detained in full compliance with applicable laws, rules, and BJMP protocols.
The department reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law, stressing that all detainees under BJMP custody are treated in accordance with legal safeguards and institutional standards.
