DILG Says INTERPOL Has Issued Red Notice Against Atong Ang Amid Sabungero Case

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said that an INTERPOL Red Notice has been issued against businessman Charlie Atong Ang.
Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla made the statement in a media interview, saying the notice was part of international coordination efforts linked to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of several sabungeros.
A Red Notice is an international alert requesting law enforcement agencies to locate and provisionally arrest an individual pending possible extradition proceedings.
Authorities said the request was filed by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group following arrest warrants issued against Ang and other co-accused in connection with the case involving at least 34 missing cockfighting enthusiasts.
The Bureau of Immigration earlier reported no record of Ang leaving the country, though authorities have pursued international tracking measures as part of the investigation.
The INTERPOL notice has not yet been independently verified through official INTERPOL channels or other international law enforcement disclosures.
