Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon personally inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of EDSA on Monday morning, ensuring that construction remains on schedule following President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s directive to fast-track the highway's improvement.

Dizon visited the work site along Boni Serrano Avenue in Mandaluyong City, where rehabilitation efforts are underway to improve traffic flow and provide a smoother, safer commute for motorists. The project also aims to make EDSA more accessible for commuters, cyclists, and pedestrians.

The DPWH chief also inspected the newly upgraded sidewalk along the southbound lane of EDSA Buendia in Makati City. The sidewalk has been widened from 1.5 meters to 3 meters, giving pedestrians more space and improving walkability in the busy area.

The inspection forms part of the government's continuing effort to accelerate EDSA's rehabilitation while minimizing disruptions and delivering long-term improvements to one of Metro Manila's busiest highways.
