Dizon Inspects Taguig Justice Hub, Forensic Lab Project Push

Public Works Secretary Vince Dizon personally inspected ongoing government projects in Taguig City, focusing on facilities meant to strengthen the country’s justice and law enforcement system.
The visit was made in line with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resume and complete stalled infrastructure projects across the country, particularly those seen as essential to public service delivery.
One of the key projects reviewed was the Justice, Law and Order (JLaw) Building, which is intended to be completed and developed into a full-fledged Hall of Justice. Once finished, the facility is expected to help ease congestion in court services and address the lack of adequate justice infrastructure in Taguig City.
Dizon was joined during the inspection by Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, Taguig City Mayor Laarni Cayetano, and Philippine National Police Deputy Chief Bernard M. Banac.
The group also visited the PNP-National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Forensic Unit Laboratory Headquarters, a facility designed to house advanced forensic laboratories for law enforcement operations. Officials say the center will enhance the police force’s capability in evidence processing, helping speed up investigations and improve crime resolution.
The forensic facility is expected to support more modern investigative work, including scientific analysis of crime scene evidence—an area the PNP has been steadily upgrading in recent years as part of broader modernization efforts.
Government officials emphasized that both projects are aimed at improving efficiency in the justice system, from court services to police investigations, while also addressing long-standing infrastructure gaps in urban centers like Taguig City.
Once completed, the facilities are expected to strengthen coordination between courts, law enforcement, and forensic units, ultimately contributing to faster and more reliable justice delivery for the public.
