Dy Urges Young Athletes To Dream Bigger At Palarong Pambansa

Speaker of the House Faustino Dy III encouraged young Filipino athletes competing in the 2026 Palarong Pambansa to aim higher, work harder, and believe in their abilities both in sports and in life.
In a video message for the country’s biggest youth sports event, Dy said the annual competition should inspire more students to pursue their dreams and strive for excellence.
The Palarong Pambansa is being held from May 24 to 31 in Prosperidad, bringing together thousands of student-athletes from various regions nationwide.
Dy emphasized that sports play an important role in shaping disciplined, determined, and resilient young Filipinos. According to him, the lessons learned in competition go far beyond the playing field.
He said sports help build character, leadership, and fighting spirit while also uniting communities and inspiring excellence among the youth.
The House leader described the Palarong Pambansa as more than just a race for medals and championships, calling it a celebration of hard work, sacrifice, teamwork, and perseverance.
Dy also praised the dedication shown by the athletes throughout their journey to the national competition, saying every training session, sacrifice, and challenge reflects the true spirit of sportsmanship and the strength of Filipino youth.
He reminded participants that making it to the Palarong Pambansa is already a major achievement, even for those who may not bring home medals.
The Speaker likewise acknowledged the efforts of coaches, teachers, parents, volunteers, and organizers who continue to guide and support the athletes in reaching their goals.
Before ending his message, Dy urged the participants to compete with passion, integrity, and pride as they represent their schools, communities, and regions on the national stage.
