Dy's Satisfaction Rating Improves In Latest SWS Survey

Speaker of the House Faustino Dy III posted an improved public satisfaction rating in the latest nationwide survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS), with his net satisfaction score rising to +8 in June 2026 from +4 in March.
The latest Social Weather Survey, conducted from June 20 to 29, found that 33% of Filipinos were satisfied with Dy's performance as Speaker of the House, while 26% were dissatisfied, resulting in a +8 net satisfaction rating, which SWS classified as neutral.
The four-point increase marks Dy's highest net satisfaction rating since assuming the House leadership and reflects improving public perception during his first months as Speaker.
The survey also showed that Dy gained ground in several key areas across the country. His net satisfaction rating increased significantly in the Visayas, where it jumped by 10 points from +1 to +11, and in Metro Manila, where it climbed by 9 points from -9 to 0. His rating also improved in Balance Luzon, although it slipped slightly in Mindanao.
SWS reported that Dy maintained a moderate satisfaction rating in rural communities, improving slightly from +10 to +11. In urban areas, his rating also improved, moving from -1 to +4, although it remained within the neutral range.
Among age groups, the biggest increase came from Filipinos aged 25 to 34, where Dy's net satisfaction surged by 21 points, rising from -5 to +16. However, support among respondents aged 55 and above declined by 10 points, falling from +12 to +2.
The survey also showed stronger gains among respondents with little or no formal education, whose satisfaction rating for the Speaker rose from +6 to +33. Meanwhile, Dy's rating among college graduates improved by 10 points but remained in negative territory at -9.
Since becoming Speaker of the House in June, Dy has presided over deliberations on key legislative measures, including preparations for the proposed 2027 national budget and priority bills backed by the administration.
The Second Quarter 2026 Social Weather Survey interviewed 1,200 adults nationwide through face-to-face interviews from June 20 to 29. The survey has a ±3% national margin of error and was conducted by SWS on its own initiative as a public service.
