Former Albay Lawmaker Joey Salceda Named PLLO Chief

Former Albay Representative Joey Salceda is returning to government after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed him as the new head of the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office (PLLO) with the rank of secretary.
The appointment was confirmed on Tuesday by Palace Press Officer Claire Castro during a briefing in Malacañang.
As PLLO chief, Salceda will serve as the Office of the President's primary link to both the Senate and the House of Representatives, helping push the administration's priority measures through Congress.
A respected economist and veteran legislator, Salceda previously served as governor of Albay before representing the province in the House of Representatives for several terms. He also chaired the House Committee on Ways and Means, where he spearheaded major tax, investment, and economic reform measures.
In his new role, Salceda is expected to strengthen coordination between Malacañang and Congress to help move the administration's legislative agenda forward.
