The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is continuing round-the-clock repair work on the damaged section of Lampari Bridge in Banga, South Cotabato, with authorities expecting the structure to be reopened to light vehicles as early as tomorrow.

The repair efforts came after President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the immediate restoration of the critical bridge, which serves as a vital link between South Cotabato and Sarangani provinces.

Officials said the bridge plays a key role in the transport of agricultural products across the region, making its swift rehabilitation a priority to minimize disruptions to trade and travel.

Meanwhile, the DPWH is also conducting ongoing restoration work and monitoring operations in other areas of Mindanao affected by recent infrastructure damage.

Authorities have assured the public that repair and assessment activities will continue to ensure the safety and accessibility of major roads and bridges in the region.
