LG Electronics is making a strong statement in the global premium home appliances scene as it showcases its latest built-in kitchen innovations at Milan Design Week 2026, held from April 20 to 26.
At the center of the exhibition is the brand’s luxury SKS line alongside its high-end LG built-in appliances, all displayed at the SKS Showroom in Milan. The focus is clear: blending cutting-edge technology with refined European design to shape the future of modern kitchens.
This year’s theme, “Feeding the Future,” marks the first anniversary of SKS’s refreshed brand identity. Visitors are taken through an immersive experience that follows the journey of food—from storage to preparation—powered by AI-assisted features designed to promote smarter usage and reduce waste. The experience even ends with an anti-waste tasting session.
LG is also deepening its lifestyle-driven approach with exclusive events during the week, including a private program for its “Life Genius” fan community. Guests are guided through curated showroom spaces by a sommelier, with wine pairings tailored to each kitchen setup, followed by a Michelin-starred dining experience that demonstrates the real-world potential of LG’s built-in appliances.
Adding a strong design statement, LG is debuting the “Tracce” capsule collection in collaboration with Italian design company Abet Laminati. The collection transforms select appliances—like undercounter wine cellars and convertible refrigerators—using iconic patterns from legendary designers such as Alessandro Mendini, Ettore Sottsass, and Superstudio.
Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, summed up the brand’s direction:
“Milan Design Week 2026 presents the perfect opportunity to clearly articulate our luxury built-in philosophy to the world,” said Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “Leveraging a deep understanding of European living and culture, we will continue to strengthen our leadership in the European market with appliances combining refined design and advanced technologies.”
With its Milan showcase, LG is positioning itself not just as a tech leader, but as a key player shaping the future of luxury kitchen living in Europe and beyond.
