LG Electronics is set to introduce a new lineup of compressor solutions designed specifically for the Indian market during ACREX 2026, taking place from March 12 to 14 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.
The company said the new compressors are engineered to meet India’s growing demand for air-conditioning and improved energy efficiency. The lineup includes locally manufactured rotary and reciprocating compressors intended for residential air conditioners and refrigerators, as well as larger solutions for commercial cooling systems.
At the exhibition, LG will present its “Engineered for India” strategy through three product zones. The Residential HVAC zone will feature rotary compressors designed for 1- to 2-ton inverter-driven air conditioners, a key segment in India’s home cooling market. The Refrigeration zone will highlight compact compressors for 150- to 200-liter refrigerators, including fixed-speed and inverter reciprocating models designed for reliable operation under local conditions. Meanwhile, the Commercial HVAC zone will display larger compressor systems, including scroll compressors with capacities of up to 27 tons.
The showcase also reflects LG’s support for India’s “Make in India” manufacturing initiative. The compressors presented at the event are produced locally, helping ensure stable supply for domestic manufacturers. LG currently operates a manufacturing facility in Noida and is constructing a new plant in Sri City, which is expected to begin operations in 2027.
“India is one of our most important markets, and we are proud to contribute our innovation and expertise in support of the nation’s ‘Make in India’ initiative,” said Baek Seung-tae. “By providing local partners with advanced components manufactured in India, we aim to support the transition to more energy-efficient products while strengthening long-term collaboration.”
Visitors attending ACREX 2026 will be able to see LG’s latest compressor technologies at the company’s booth during the three-day exhibition.
