LG Electronics has introduced the new StanbyME 2 Max, giving its popular movable lifestyle screen a major upgrade with a larger 32-inch 4K display and enhanced entertainment features.

Building on the success of the original StanbyME, the latest model is designed for users who want a portable screen that can easily move from one room to another. The detachable display can be mounted on its wheeled stand or used separately, making it suitable for watching movies, working, cooking, exercising, or making video calls.

The StanbyME 2 Max now features a sharper 32-inch 4K UHD display, a significant improvement from the previous 27-inch QHD screen. It also supports Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, delivering richer visuals and more immersive sound for movies, shows, and games.

Powering the device is LG's latest Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen3, which automatically enhances picture quality, upscales content to near-4K resolution, and optimizes audio for a more cinematic viewing experience.

Users can switch between landscape and portrait modes depending on the type of content they're viewing. The screen also functions as a large touchscreen and supports apps for streaming, browsing, drawing, and displaying digital artwork through LG Gallery+, which offers access to more than 5,000 art pieces.

Another standout feature is its built-in battery, which provides up to 4.5 hours of video playback without needing to be plugged in. The battery can be recharged using the docking stand or a USB-C connection, making it convenient for both indoor and outdoor use.

LG said the StanbyME 2 Max will roll out in global markets in phases, with availability varying by region. The new model also received a CES 2026 Innovation Award in the Content & Entertainment category, recognizing its blend of portability, display quality, and smart entertainment features.
