Magnitude 5.4 Earthquake Jolts Masbate, Shaking Felt In Albay And Sorsogon

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake struck off the coast of Claveria, Masbate at 8:54 a.m. on Monday, July 13, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).
The earthquake had a shallow depth of 6 kilometers and was located about 26 kilometers southwest of Claveria, Masbate.
PHIVOLCS said the tremor was felt at Intensity III in several areas, including Legazpi City in Albay, as well as the municipalities of Bulan, Donsol, Juban, Magallanes, and Sorsogon City in Sorsogon.
As of the latest advisory, there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and remind the public to stay alert for any official updates from PHIVOLCS.
