President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. personally checked on earthquake response efforts in Sarangani on Monday, Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon, to ensure that assistance reaches affected residents and that patients are safely accommodated.

The President first visited the Sarangani Provincial Hospital in Alabel, where the facility remained full of patients, including those being treated in the emergency room.

Through the joint efforts of the Sarangani Provincial Hospital, the DPWH Sarangani District Engineering Office and other government agencies, patients were successfully moved back inside the hospital.

To help accommodate more patients, the DPWH is sending five parabolic tents that will serve as temporary shelters for incoming patients.

Meanwhile, seven parabolic tents have already been put up at the Glan Satellite Provincial Hospital in Glan, Sarangani.

Aside from checking on residents staying in evacuation sites, Marcos and Dizon also made sure that patients affected by the earthquake could safely and orderly return to hospital facilities as government response efforts continue.
