President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Wednesday recognized civil servants who have gone above and beyond in serving the Filipino people, celebrating dedication, integrity, and excellence in government work. The ceremony, Pagpupugay 2025: Gawad Lingkod Bayani, was held at Malacañan Palace and delivered by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto.

The President highlighted the vital role of public servants in nation-building, noting that their hard work strengthens public trust and improves the delivery of essential services. He commended the awardees for their integrity, diligence, and commitment to excellence, discipline, and patriotism.

The Gawad Lingkod Bayani, led by the Civil Service Commission (CSC), honors government employees who have made exceptional economic and social contributions, achieved notable accomplishments, and upheld the highest ethical standards.

This year, awards were given under three categories: Gawad Lingkod Bayan ng Pangulo, Gawad Dangal ng Bayan, and Gawad Pagasa, recognizing a total of 24 individuals and six teams.

Recipients received gold-gilded medallions, plaques, and cash prizes ranging from PhP100,000 to PhP200,000, while some also became eligible for automatic promotions or scholarships for themselves or their beneficiaries.

The recognition reflects the government’s appreciation for employees who quietly serve the nation with heart, reinforcing the ideals of good governance and public service.
