President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. welcomed former United Kingdom Prime Minister Sir Tony Blair to Malacañang Palace on Wednesday, July 8, for a meeting focused on governance and public policy.

Blair, who served as the UK’s prime minister from 1997 to 2007, continues to be active in global policy initiatives through the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. His organization works with governments around the world on governance reforms, economic development, digital transformation, and public service delivery.

Photos released by the Presidential Communications Office showed Marcos and Blair meeting at the Palace. While details of their discussions were not immediately disclosed, the visit highlights the Philippine government’s continued engagement with international leaders and policy experts on governance and development issues.
