Meralco had a big night at the 61st Anvil Awards—and the trophies proved it.
The Manuel V. Pangilinan–led power giant, together with One Meralco Foundation, Meralco PowerGen Corporation, and Meralco Power Academy walked away with a total of 20 awards: five Gold and 15 Silver, during the ceremony held at Solaire Resort North in Quezon City.
Beyond the impressive medal haul, Meralco was also named a finalist for Company of the Year, underscoring its strong presence in the public relations and communications space.
The awards recognized Meralco’s wide range of programs—from clear and reliable service communications to smart use of digital platforms. Its initiatives in animal welfare, corporate social responsibility, cybersecurity, renewable energy development, internal audit, and media and information literacy also earned nods from the judges.
Organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the Anvil Awards are often dubbed the “Oscars” of Philippine public relations. The annual event honors campaigns, tools, and programs that set the bar for excellence in PR practice across the country.
With its latest wins, Meralco once again showed that its work goes beyond keeping the lights on—earning recognition for meaningful communication, innovation, and advocacy that connect with the public.
