The family of Mike Defensor has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the public for the outpouring of prayers and messages of support following concerns about the former lawmaker’s condition.

In a Facebook post shared by his daughter, Mikee Defensor, the family assured supporters that Defensor is in stable condition and remains strong despite the challenges he is facing.

“Para sa mga nag-aalala, maayos po ang kalagayan niya at nananatili siyang matatag. Kilala niyo ang aking ama—hindi natitinag ang kanyang prinsipyo at paninindigan para sa bayan.

Tuloy ang laban at ang mga nasimulan. Sa ngayon, nakatuon kami sa pagpapalakas, sapagkat ang tunay na pakikibaka ay isang mahabang paglalakbay na nangangailangan ng tatag at mas matibay na paninindigan.”

Mikee also thanked the many people who have reached out through messages and prayers, saying their family’s inbox has been flooded with words of encouragement. She said she has been personally reading the messages and making sure they are passed on to her father, adding that the public’s support continues to give him strength during this difficult time.
