Lawyer and social media personality Nico Quejano has weighed in on the ongoing online discussions surrounding the reported cancellation of the wedding between actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co, pointing to what he believes may have been too many outside influences involved in the relationship.
In a series of posts on X, Quejano suggested that the controversy now “makes more sense” to him amid claims that several third parties allegedly got involved in both the couple’s relationship and their prenuptial agreement discussions.
“Caught up with the Bea-Vincent prenup issue and it makes more sense na kaya hindi natuloy eh dahil maraming sawsaw,” he wrote.
He also raised concern over how supposed private details of the prenup allegedly ended up circulating on social media, saying such matters should remain confidential.
“Surprised why the terms of the prenup were circulating on socmed. Those should be confidential, personal between the couple only. Somebody breached their privacy,” he added.
In another post, Quejano suggested the leaked information may have been framed in a way that cast Vincent Co in a negative light.
“And it was obviously made to make the prenup and the groom as the villain,” he wrote.
The lawyer also emphasized that prenuptial agreements are strictly private legal arrangements between partners, while also appearing to criticize the involvement of third parties, including talent manager Shirley Kuan, who has been mentioned in online speculation.
“A prenup is a legal document that will govern the marriage. So I don’t think anyone should be involved in its crafting other than the couple. Not the parents, not the friends, and most especially not the manager who’s treating Bea as a cashcow, allegedly,” he posted.
The issue has been circulating widely online, fueled by unverified claims that Kuan allegedly played a role in prenup negotiations and may have influenced certain provisions—claims that remain unconfirmed.
As of writing, Bea Alonzo, Vincent Co, and Shirley Kuan have not issued any public statement addressing the latest allegations.
