Motorists should prepare for another round of fuel price hikes as major oil companies confirmed new pump adjustments set to take effect on Tuesday, February 10.

In advisories released Monday, fuel retailers announced that diesel prices will increase by ₱1.00 per liter, while gasoline and kerosene will each go up by ₱0.60 per liter. The new rates will be implemented early Tuesday morning.

The latest upward movement marks the fifth consecutive weekly increase for gasoline and the seventh straight hike for diesel and kerosene, extending the steady climb in fuel costs since the start of 2026.

Data from industry monitoring shows that as of February, diesel has recorded a net increase of around ₱6.40 per liter, while gasoline has risen by roughly ₱3.00 per liter. Kerosene has also posted more than ₱4 per liter in cumulative adjustments for the year.

According to fuel industry assessments, the continued hikes are largely driven by global oil market volatility, with geopolitical tensions, supply constraints, and uncertainty over shipping routes all contributing to rising crude prices. Shifting demand patterns in key Asian markets have also influenced international price movements.

For transport operators and everyday commuters, the sustained increases add to the mounting cost of mobility. Analysts caution that additional price movements are possible later this month depending on how global market conditions evolve.
