Ombudsman Suspends Senate Sergeant-At-Arms

The Office of the Ombudsman has ordered the six-month preventive suspension of Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca following the recent shooting incident inside the Senate complex and the reported departure of Sen.Ronald dela Rosa from protective custody.
The suspension comes amid ongoing questions surrounding security protocols during the chaotic incident that shook the Senate earlier this week.
Authorities have yet to release full details regarding the Ombudsman’s findings, but the preventive suspension is expected to allow investigators to conduct an impartial probe without possible interference.
