Malacañang has confirmed that Vice President Sara Duterte has been granted travel authority for a multi-country trip spanning Europe and Asia from April 23 to May 15, 2026.

The Office of the President approved the Vice President’s trip, which will include visits to the Netherlands, Republic of Korea, Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom.

According to Palace officials, Duterte will be on leave for the duration of the trip and will not use government funds, with all expenses to be covered privately.

Executive Secretary Ralph Recto was reported to have signed the travel authority, in line with standard procedures requiring high-ranking officials to secure clearance for overseas travel.

The trip will last for about 22 days. As of now, no detailed itinerary or specific purpose for each stop has been publicly disclosed.

The Vice President’s travel comes as political developments continue in the House of Representatives, where impeachment complaints have been filed against her, although no official link has been established between these proceedings and her scheduled trip.
