Pasay City police have arrested a key suspect in the high-profile Binondo container incident that drew nationwide attention. The suspect, a 32-year-old Taiwanese national, was taken into custody on 19 February 2026 at a casino hotel in Pasay City.

The operation was led by Col. Joselito De Sesto, Chief of the Pasay City Police, with support from the suspect’s partner, hotel staff, and police units who tracked him across multiple locations.

Authorities say the arrest is part of ongoing investigations into the incident in Binondo, where a deceased person was discovered in a container on 15 February 2026. Identification of the victim was aided by a membership card recovered during the investigation.

After his arrest, the suspect underwent documentation and a medical check at Pasay City General Hospital. He is now in police custody while the Pasay City Prosecutor’s Office prepares the necessary legal proceedings.

Pasay police emphasized that the arrest demonstrates effective coordination, diligent investigation, and commitment to accountability, regardless of nationality. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information on other possible persons of interest.
