Philippines, Argentina Talk Energy Cooperation

The Philippines is looking to strengthen energy ties with Argentina following a high-level meeting between energy officials and the South American country’s envoy.
The Department of Energy (DOE), led by Secretary Sharon S. Garin, met with Argentine Ambassador H.E. Ricardo Luis Bocalandro to discuss possible areas of cooperation in the energy sector.
The meeting focused on exploring potential partnerships, sharing insights on energy development, and reinforcing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Both sides also discussed opportunities for collaboration aimed at improving energy security and supporting more resilient and sustainable energy systems.
The DOE said the engagement is part of ongoing efforts to build international partnerships that support a more secure, resilient, and sustainable energy future for the Philippines.
