The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended Monday's trading session on a positive note, climbing 61.17 points or 1.01 percent to close at 6,133.41.
Market activity reached PHP 5.1 billion in total value traded, with 96 stocks advancing 75 declining and 70 remaining unchanged reflecting a generally positive trading session.
Foreign investors also ended the day as net buyers. Foreign buying totaled PHP 2.85 billion, while foreign selling reached PHP 2.54 billion, resulting in net foreign buying of PHP 311.2 million..
The strong finish pushed the benchmark index back above the 6,100 level, supported by steady investor participation and continued foreign buying.
